VISION:  Awaken exists to resource the local church for action. We are a non-profit parachurch organization that creates resources for the church in order to inspire, educate and equip them to live worship as the hands and feet of Jesus - serving the oppressed, broken and lost.  Our desire is to see a generation of church-goers inspired to live as agents of change in their cities. Awaken’s resources include worship music, personal and small group studies and short films.

Awaken was birthed in 2008 with a fresh vision to inspire, educate, and equip the local church to live as Jesus’ Kingdom bringers in their communities. A desire to see the bride of Christ have a greater lasting impact in the city of Dallas brought Rob Peabody (speaker/author) and Joel Warren (worship leader/musician) together to petition God for a new creative approach of bringing together the needs of our broken cities and the change that bursts forth from a renewed community – the church.

But, they weren’t the only ones. The Spirit has been moving and has awakened an entire generation of Jesus people who are dissatisfied with the status quo of merely attending church. We desire more. We desire to see the local church truly be the hope of the world. A people who’s Monday through Saturday is just as important as Sunday.

From Dallas to Nashville to New York to London to Europe, a collective of compelled and talented musicians, pastors, photographers, designers, filmmakers, songwriters, authors, businessmen and women, missionaries, and countless others all with the same heartbeat have offered their talents and time to join the movement.

Mark and Vanessa Warren join Rob and Joel as they lead out the vision and direction of Awaken. For 10 years Joel and Mark traveled the USA in the music industry, and now hold staff positions at their respective churches outside Dallas, Texas. Rob Peabody is a church leader in London, England leading the planting efforts of Awaken London.
