The word "worship" is derived from the old English verb,
, which means to "ascribe worth" or "to acknowledge the worth" of something. Worship is the act of acknowledging the worth or value of something, the act of falling down and bowing before it in reverence.
True biblical worship is both internal
external. It is the bowing of our
lives - which includes not just our bodies, but our hearts, minds, and souls - all of them in humble submission and reverence before God.
It's not wrong to associate worship with music, singing, dancing and church services. The problem is limiting worship to those things. As true followers of Jesus, our worship must be more than this!
The time is now to lead your people to re-engage and re-define what it means for them to live lives of worship and to do justice as followers of Jesus. Will you join us?
